Questions About BCV

We currently own at BLT and are seriously considering adding on with points at BCV through the resale market as the prices seem to offer a serious discount over buying direct from Disney. I know that BCV are not as NEW as BLT or VGF, but are they still in good condition? We would mainly be buying there for SAB and the proximity to Epcot/HS.

Also, we would mostly we staying in either a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom villa. How many/what size beds are in each of these? Do they offer 2 bedroom dedicated and lockout units? Just trying to understand the layout as compared to BLT.

The 2 bedroom question is easier to answer. BCV offers 3 sorts of 2 bedrooms, there are dedicated ones that have 2 queens in the second bedroom, dedicated ones that have a queen and a pull out queen sofa bed ( I think it is a queen) in that second bedroom and finally lock off 2 bedrooms., those have a queen a double sofa bed.

I have always had a well cared for villa, except for the time the villa was trashed by the people before us. We had been told our villa was ready, but got there to find many CMs trying to fix things. We saw a broken chair and overturned furniture. When we got the villa we had some mismatched furniture.

Some people should not be allowed to stay at Disney!

BCV is our home resort and we love it. It is looking a bit tired and worn these days but there is talk of an update coming soon so don't let that weigh heavily in your decision making. It is still a beautiful resort in a fabulous location.

If you haven't stayed there a few times I suggest that you do so before buying a contract at any resort.

It is very worn....worn like a $59 a night hotel....to me it's looks like it hasn't has a refurb since it's opened....it's definitely not up to the standards you expect from Disney.....it's almost as if they telling u "thanx for your money, we know it's worn, but hey we got your money"...Disney knows you'll come back since you own points, so why refurb?.....that said, SAB and the Boardwalk are awesome, as is the easy access to Epcot and HS....those things are worth it if you can look past the Days Inn feel....

I think that's a bit of an exaggeration- we did two stays at bcv in the last two years prior to making an offer to buy in and while it would be nice to have an update- it is far above days inn quality.

It's no secret that Disney has different level of maintenance between cash resorts and DVC resorts/rooms. Just like there is a difference between value, moderate, and deluxe resorts. It's called product differentiation.

They could make the DVC into a 4+ star resort but that isn't in their business plan.

Roger that Bill...but the question does get asked a lot on these boards so i think it's not as obvious to all....That said, i agree with your look before u leap comment...
