Questions about BCV rooms, views....

O.K. we booked our first stay at BCV! DH is beside himself, we have always wanted to stay! So now next question is what room/view should we request? We would love a water view... We do not even know what part of the resort is villias and what part is the standard hotel..
Any help would be Great!!!
We will be there Jun21-June26 2009.

The only water view at BCV is of the pool. Simply request a pool view room when you book your stay.

Other considerations for you may be the closeness to the elevator (too close and you get a lot of foot traffic outside your door, too far and you walk more), floor preferences (we like top floor), and if you're going to have a car in which case you may want to be near the lot.

When we stayed there, we asked for an "Epcot view".....while we could see Spaceship Earth and Illuminations at night, the actual view if you looked down was the highway. So, good "far away" view, cruddy "close-up" view.

We have stayed in the BCV's for the last 3 years and each year have gotten to experience a different view.
Pool View: The quiet pool (1st floor off to the left side) was great because we could walk right outside our living room door and get to the pool. We also enjoyed the beach fencing and seagrass area outside beyond our patio.
Courtyard View: Directly over the DVC entrance (2nd floor corner unit). While I very much disliked this location when we first checked in it did grow on me before we left. Our view was of the walkway leading to the BCV, and in the distance cars and vans in the circular drive pulling up to the Beach Club. Not private at all.
Woods View: Probably my favorite. 2nd Floor all the way at the end of the building. Could see Epcot's fireworks. Could use the staircase outside our door to leave the building. And the morning sun filled our place every morning. Very private and peaceful. Bliss

The DVC units are behind the BC away from the lake. They do not have a view of the lake, only the quiet pool or the drainage canal.
