Questions about AP renewal and DVC discount

We currently have annual passes that will expire in August. I think we are going to go down and stay in a value resort for the free dining. I can't ever turn down an opportunity to have discounted disney trips. If we go, it will be in September and we are going to renew our annual passes. Can someone tell me how to go about doing this? I am going to purchase a 1-day park ticket as per the requirement of the free dining, but then want to trade that in for the value to add to our AP's. I also want to get the DVC discount as well. Can you provide me with some direction? I am just trying to plan out now, so that we have plenty of extra pocket change to cover the trip.

Once you have checked into your resort and have your one day tickets, go to guest services outside one of the parks or downtown Disney. Be sure to have your DVC member card and photo IDs, and they can handle it for you.

That's correct. However, your "anniversary" date remains the same.

Am I correct in thinking that a DVC AP renewal is $290 and a new pass is $315? My pass expires in May and we aren't going until August so I am trying to decide whether to renew or just buy a new one. If my prices are right only saving $25 and losing about 3 months of park time wouldn't be worth it.

DVC member prices, including tax, are:

New AP: $335.48 Renewal: $319.50 - Adult
New AP: $295.02 Renewal: $283.29 - Child
New PAP: $440.91 Renewal: $419.61 - Adult
New PAP: $387.66 Renewal: $372.75 - Child

Unless you are traveling within a month of your expiration, I would not renew. I'd rather have the extra time for a $15 difference on a standard AP.

These are the prices listed at www.dvcmember.com. They seem to be a little different than yours.

Annual Pass price - A - $315.00 C - $277.00
Annual Pass Renewal price - A - $290.00 C - $255.00

Premium Annual Pass price - A - $414.00 C - $364.00
Premium Annual Pass Renewal price - A - $384.00 C - $338.00

Does yours include tax? We bought ours at Shades of Green and didn't pay tax on ours last time. So you do pay tax on the tickets huh? I guess that is something else I need to add into the budget for September.

It appears the website I used for the quotes is in error for some reason (I used Allearsnet).

Based on the DVC site,

Prices, with tax would be:

Standard AP
Adult - New: 335.48 Renewal: 308.85 (savings $26.63)

Child - New: 295.00 Renewal: 271.58 (savings $23.42)

PAP
Adult - New: 440.91 Renewal 408.96 (savings $31.95)

Child - New 387.66 Renewal: 359.97 (savings $27.69)
