Hi all -

I am starting to plan out our upcoming November trip to Universal. I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to get an AP for the hotel discount. A few Q's:

1) Only one of us needs the AP, correct? (2 adult and 2 kids)

2) Is there any way to check the AP rate before I buy the AP to see if it is worth it? right now I have the SMSM rate for 11/3 through 11/6 - i Think it averages to 246/night for the RPR. Would love to get that rate down some.

TIA!

Andrea

Yes, you only need one preferred pass. The code for annual pass rates is APH. There are generally no APH rates in very, very busy times. I am seeing a rate of $179 for the first day and $149 for the other two for a standard room and $209 and then $179, $179 for a water view at RPR for your dates.

1) Correct

2) Yes, just choose "Promotion" and type APH in the Code field. Looks like the rate will drop to $179.00 on 11/3 and $149.00 on the 4th and 5th.

Thanks all! I have far more WDW knowledge than USF knowledge, so I am struggling planning this trip. I booked the AP rate and am getting myself a Preferred Pass; saves almost 200 dollars even with cost of the pass so I am happy (as is DH).

Just wondering how far in advance they offer the AP discounts. We are planning a trip for next summer. Can I use the code now or is it like WDW where you have to wait for the codes to become available?

You have to wait. AP codes for summer next year won't be out for a while yet.
