  1. because there are only a few 8A rooms that sleep four and aren't HA, namely 6514 & 6016, is it pretty much guaranteed that only platinum or gold people can get them on the first day? we're silver.
  2. re. 9A: is there any noticeable choppiness in the 9A rooms on decks 7/8 forward? i've heard if you stay in forward and there's rough seas you feel the rockiness more. we're considering the carribean routes and really prefer midship, but looks like that's only available as 9B on deck 2. just wondering if 9A would be a good choice overall. and if yes, can you please recommend a good stateroom.

Dream and Fantasy are very well stabilised with the latest technology it's unlikely that anyone would notice a lot of movement.

Forward and aft, yes have slightly move movement, but it shouldn't affect anyone unless your in a storm, and your sensitive to the movement.

The higher you are the better , deck two is poor as your closer to the movement of the sea, in random short movements and closer to the engines, it has also enclosed. Science tells us the further you are away from impact the least you notice it.

Decks 7/8 would iron out the impact so not short random movements but a more gentle sway.

Also to help with motion sickness, you need to get fresh air, and view the horizon at the widest point, again decks 7/8 are far better than that.

Midship/ mid deck is the very best but to be honest the differences on these newer ships where they try to avoid bad weather or strong currents is negligible.

I was able to book the 8A 6016 on our september 3rd 2016 cruise after the first release date and Ive never cruised before. Actually its still available as we decided to upgrade to a 4D so we could have a verandah. I dont think its that hard to book.

hi,

we're silver now & have got 8a room for nov 2016. we booked this on opening day. our previous cruise we downgraded from a 4a to 8a around the pif date, when lots of catagories became available..

No, we are Silver too and got one of the non-HA 8A rooms that sleeps 4 on the Dream for this summer, and we didn't book on opening day. Now if it is a really popular sailing for whatever reason, I guess that could be a possibility. You would definitely want to book as soon as you could, though. I have been keeping an eye on the 8A rooms for our sailing, and they have been sold out for months now.
