We recently canceled our August 7 night Eastern on the Fantasy and booked a 5 night MDAS on the Magic in March. We've done a few 7 nighters, so we knew what to expect on that cruise, but we've never done a 5 night. We have a couple questions: Is there a formal night on 5 night cruises? Will there be fireworks on MDAS? Is there a pirate night and does it also have fireworks? Thanks for any insight that you can offer!

We just did this cruise in March and we loved it! The MDAS activities were really fun. The character interactions were awesome and they finish with one of the best deck shows I have seen along with fireworks. You will see almost every character in the MCU. There is also a pirate night with more fireworks! There is an optional dress up night but I have found that a lot more people dress up for pirate night than the dress up night. Some people do still dress up but not as much as they do on the longer cruises. Since you don't get two full rotations through the dining rooms, they do not do the Animation Magic in Animator's and they combine the two Rapunzel shows into one in Rapunzel's Royal table. We took our middle son who is 18 so we didn't have any small kids with us. But there was definitely something for everyone. I personally prefer longer cruises because 5 days does not seem long enough. But I would 100% book this one again... hopefully next year!
