Questioning dining times

Most of my ADR's are for late lunches instead of dinner. A friend said I am wasting the DDP. My plan was to do breakfast at hotel, mid-morning snack, TS for late lunch (most around 2:00). We would then head back to the BC for swimming and resting then back to the park for rides and CS. Is there a big difference between the portions for lunch and dinner? Should I try to adjust the plan? Any advice would be appreciated.

The portion size (and choice) is normally larger for dinner, along with the cost :lmao:

It's up to you whether you want to try and 'milk' the plan to get your moneys worth, or if you want to plan things on your own schedule and eat when you want.

Personally we found last year that either having TS lunch then CS dinner, or the other way round didn't really matter to us. There was plenty enough food either way and we never went hungry.

I think that doing what works out best for you is the right thing to do. Thats not a waste. If you're going during free dining then just smile and ignore your friend. However, if you are paying for the dining plan, TS lunch is less expensive than dinner. You may want to look at the menus and get an idea for what you're going to be spending and make sure that it's not cheaper to just pay out of pocket for everything. Remember when doing this that the dining plan doesn't include your gratuity so you have to pay OOP for that either way. But if you like the convenience of the dining plan and don't care if it might save you a few dollars by paying OOP then again, smile and tell your friend you've thought it through and it's what is right for you.;)

I don't know about the dining plan, but we just got back from being there during a May heat wave (around 95 every day), and the 2 days we had lunches around 2:00 were great. You could get a lot done before lunch, and then when the heat was at its worst, be sitting in a nice air-conditioned restaurant. We didn't go back to the hotel those two days. Sitting in the air conditioning in the restaurant was enough to get us cooled off, rested, and going again until the park closed.

Why change your plan based on what one friend said? Is the friend going along with you? Stick to your plan.

I was hoping that we could stay at the park if we took the break. I just don't know if the boys will give up SAB (the real reason their going:yay:)
I think I am going to stick with the original plan. I am just second guessing everything since I am in charge of all planning! :sad2: Now if only I could get everyone to follow my touring plans..... no time to look at the castle, run, run to Buzz!!!!
