My husband is going on his convention while we are in disney. He is going to need his computer. Does it cost alot to hook it up in our room. I also want to use the computer to transfer our pic from the camera.

CSR offers high speed internet for 9.95 a day. POP you would need to use old fashioned dial up. The cost is 75 cents a call.

There is no need for internet access if you're only going to be moving pics from your camera to your laptop. Does he need to be online for work? Will you be copying your pics down to the harddrive/floppy or will you be uploading to a website for storage?

I'm sure he is going to need it for work. If something happens to the computer at his job. He will have to PC anywhere into it.

We used the phone line at POR for out Earthlink dial up account. Please remember to bring the cable to down load the pics!!! Also bring an extra card...you will need it. My husband always travles with his computer, and I ended up paying bills online I think we also paid 75cents. Good luck.

Does your DH travel a lot because if he does he can get wireless access to use on his laptop. This is what we use when we're away. The cost varies from company to company (can get expensive sometimes) but you don't have to worry about searching or paying for an active port. Just another option.

I would also like to know the answer to this. I want to take my computer with me and i don't know how much it will cost to hook it up in my room. Can i hook it up to the phone for free?

Dial up is 75 cents per call. High speed is 9.95 a day, wireless is extra.

The convention hotels have the high speed internet.

So it will cost us about 10 dollars a day? and how much extra for wireless? I am going to have to tell my husband to have his job pay for this. He is a pain in the **** He never wants to get money back for things he gets for work. Like he won't ask for a rental car, while this trip is for work. It is a convention.

Where ever there is wi fi it is $4.95 an hour or 9.99 for the day. This is in additional to the high speed.

What hotel are you staying at? All the hotels have dial up connections on the phones. Only the convention hotels have High speed. You don't need to tell them anything. You just use it when you need to. The charge will appear on your bill when you check out. If you don't use during the day then they don't charge you for it.

Is he using the PC for work--if so then can his work pay for any charges accrued. Then you needn't worry so much about incurring the costs on your trip.

My hubby has to use a computer to fill out his time card for work..so when he is on a business trip--whatever the fee is for him to dial up and do so would be a reimbursable expense. And then once he is only--if he wants to do personal business on-line, then it is already paid (assuming that there is just a per connection charge and not a per minute charge).

Wilderness Lodge we were just charged 75 cents for the local dial-up connection. But it wasn't a business trip, so it came out of our pocket.
