Question....

I'm a newbie to the Community Boards, and I noticed that there are different threads on this board that are kind of 'role-playing,' such as the Tagligarchy Island.

My question is this: How do you get into one of these? Do you just post on them and act like you know what you're doing or what???

Some people dip their toes in at first to test the waters, some jump in with both feet, and some dive right in & join the game immediately.

I recommend just joining & introducing yourself -- these threads are usually very friendly, and tend to take a life of their own - I'm sure you'll be welcomed wherever you go.

After all, this is the DIS.

Mary Jo, I know that this should be really simple but I love to get techinical, so when you say just 'post and introduce myself,' do you mean on one of those threads or start a new one? Thanks again!

I'm with Mary Jo... any time you see a thread title like that, that interests you, just stop in and say hi! I post on one or two (or more) of those and I have never been made to feel anything but welcomed. Have fun
