This has probably been discussed before, but are there advantages to the online check-in. Are room assignments made at the time you use the online check-in, or does that still occur when you arrive at the resort?
Opinions and/or experiences please.

The only advantage to online checkin is to speed up the check in process by having the credit card info and names of guests so they can have your guest packet ready.

It does not get you your room any earlier.

Room assignments are made a few days before you arrive. If you have requests, either through online check in (which are limited) or that you have had MS put on your reservation, those are available to the resort room assigners.
