Question?

so heres the thing two new houses were built down the street from me and a few weeks, maybe a month or a month and a half ago two families moved in. Recently i've notced a lot of boys my age hanging around at night and am figuring that the kids live there. well prior to them moving in most of the kids i grew up with have gone off to college these past two years so i no longer have been out wondering the neighborhood.

sorry it was long.
my question: i'm sort of shy (until you get to know me) and am quiet as well as a little nervous around guys (yeah im 17, whatever.) like in class or at work its different and im fine around boys because we work/learn together and theres no awkwardness. but anyway ...any advice??

OK I'm assuming the question is how to start talking to them? I would say bake something, like cookies, and say you're welcoming them to the neighborhood. Even if it's a parent that answers, you're going to get a mention when the guys ask where the amazing baked goods came from. You'll be remembered as the Awesome Girl who made Awesome Cookies until they know your name

You sound exactly like me lol Even though I have a fiancee, I still get nervous around guys.
When I was younger and liked a guy that lived on my street, I would go for walks when they were hanging around outside.If you have a dog, take it with you and maybe they'll ask about it.Or get an outgoing friend to walk with you and let her/him start a conversation with them and see if they wanna hang out....I did that alot too

thanks! i thought about the dog thing but we put our dog down in november and i used to walk my neighbors dog for her but she moved. anyway, great suggestions!!
