Okay, I was looking at the DVC points and it says something about a 3 bedroom villa being 800 points at Boardwalk. Sooo, I dont see anywhere being able to buy 800 points, so say you have 150 points, what makes up the difference? Also, are you only allowed to travel at specific times? How long are you allowed to stay? Im confused LOL. But it doesnt take much to confuse me.

A Grand Villa at Boardwalk is 800 points for a full week during "Magic" season; 558 for a week during adventure season. However, five nights (Sun-Th) will only set you back 440 points during "Dream" season; or 370 points during Adventure season.

If your party requires a Grand Villa, and you have only 150 points, you could go for up to five nights (not during peak seasons), one time during a three-year period, by banking and borrowing points.

You can buy 800 BWV points if you want to and you can stay their every year. You just need the money. :thumbsup2

You can buy as many points as you like, and you can travel whenever you like and stay as many nights as you can with the points that you have available. You can stay once a year for a couple of weeks, take several small trips throughout the year, whatever suits you. You can skip a year, bank your points and take a big trip the next year.

The flexibility of DVC is one of its strongest selling points.

A grand villa is a very, very big suite and costs a lot of points. At the Boardwalk, it is six normal hotel rooms wide and covers around 2,400 square feet - bigger than most houses!. With 150 points, the studios at BWV would be a better choice. At some times of the year, they go for 9 points a night. You can do a lot with 150 points - but unfortunately not a week in a grand villa at Christmas time.

Are you a DVC member?? There are many ways to go about this....with a 150 point contract you would have available 450 points by banking and borrowing. The remaining points needed could be tranferred in from another member or you could pay cash for the remaining nights. If you are not an DVC member you could go to the rent and trade forum and see if you could rent the needed points.......basically you would be retning a reservation from a DVC member. As far as length of stay and travel times......well that would be completely up to you.

We have only 380 points at OKW and have used the GVs several times by staying only Sun-Fri and during Adventure season. Another option is to get a 2 bedroom and a studio for far less points and the same number of beds.
