what does the little thingy that says specify tags up above the message box when ur making a thread mean?

I may be wrong, but I think it has something to do with making it possible to search for a specific thread. So, if you're making a thread about places to eat in Disney, you might make the tags 'Disney Dining,' thus making it easier for someone to find.
