Question: Yak and Yeti Dining Plan and Landry's Birthday Gift

Hi!!! I have a quick question I was hoping someone would know the answer to. We are going back to WDW in May (its sooo far away and I am amusing myself by planning our dining. We will probably get the dining plan because well, I just like it... lol We are planning on eating a late lunch/early dinner at Yak and Yeti on our Animal Kingdom Day. I was wondering if I can use my birthday credit to order a couple of appetizers and still use the dining plan to pay for our meals. Has anyone had any success with this? Does my question even make any sense?

Thanks so much!! I really want to try the Ahi Tuna Nachos but the dining plan is already so much food that I don't "Need" to order them and pay out of pocket. LOL
