Question with Deck 2 on The Magic

We have only stayed in veranda rooms on Deck 8 on our previous cruises, but we are looking at inside cabins on Deck 2 for a 2018 Magic cruise from NYC to Port Canaveral. We are concerned about feeling seasick on such a low deck. Any advice or past experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I moved down to deck two years ago to avoid getting motion sick on the higher decks! Love, love deck two! Try to get midship if you can or slightly aft.

There's more motion forward. I would also recommend mid to aft.

I've sailed on Deck 2 twice and never had any issues. From memory, I only really noticed "rocking" on one occasion and I personally found it helpful in lulling me to sleep on that evening.

Was in 2026 on the Magic last month on the Med. Calmest cruise ever and had no issue. View is still good with the large window. We chose the Deck 2 because it was $3,000 less than a vernadah and that difference covered all of our excursions and on board purchases and considering you are really only on the ship 2 full days because we spent so much time in port it was a no brainer in my mind

We've only done deck 2 on both the Magic & Wonder (same design). But, I only go for an oceanview. Need some daylight coming in.

Deck 2 is our preferred location onboard.
