Question with "1stop" flights?

I am sure there is an easy anwser to this but I cant wrap my little brain around it at the moment!

Ok on airtran most flights to Orlando from Pittsburgh are "1 stop" some longer than others, so my thing is this......

If I switch planes in Atlanta, what about seating? Same seats as the flight before or do you pick new ones? Since with airtran you pick seats 24 hours prior, do you pick the transfer seats then as well?
I am sure its an easy, I just cant "get it" today for some reason!

We've always chosen our seats on both flights 24 hours ahead (online) when we've flown on Airtran from Dallas to Atlanta to Orlando. Same thing on the return flight.

Each flight will have different seat assignments. The available seats on each flight will be different.

Keep in mind that when you are connecting in Atlanta, there will be passengers from many different originating airports connecting to many different destination airports.
