Question.....what is the "hub"?

The hub is the central point of the park, the place where all the different areas of the park can be accessed from.

MK. . .the castle
MGM. . .the hat
AK. . .tree of life

There isn't really one at EPCOT. Spaceship Earth is the hub for FutureWorld, but there isn't one for the entire park.

I could be wrong, but I've only heard The Hub as a reference to MK. There, to be precise, it's not the Caste itself but rather the round area in front of the Castle, sort of like a traffic circle, where there are the paths leading to Tomorrowland, Liberty Square, etc.

Maybe I'm just not "in the know," but I've never seen the term applied to places in the other parks.

Correct. As far as Im concerned (as someone like you, who probably knows a good bit about WDW) the hub is only the MK. Sure there are central portions of other parks but I've only heard the "hub" in reference to the MK.

Is it actually known as the Hub? I never knew that. I know that in the MK the CM's even refer to it as the hub but, I've never heard of any other park having something officially referred to as the hub. Guess you learn something new everyday!
