What's the easiest, most affordable way to get from a WDW resort to Universal when you're traveling solo? I'm flying in and taking the bus to the resort.

Thanks!

Nate

This past June we took the shuttle and it was $19 round trip... They only pick up in the mornings though, and then starting return trips after 3pm I think.

If you go to Dreams Unlimited, you can buy your Universal tickets and transfers in a package deal, and it works out to be cheaper than buying them separately. The transportation is still through Mears.

Take the municipal bus system. Check out www.golynx.com for the schedules.

Take Disney bus from your resort to DTD. Catch the Lynx #50 Express to the Lynx Central Station. Transfer to route #40 to Universal. Takes about 1½ hours each way and costs $2.00 each way.

We're gonna rent a car from the Disney Car care center (alamo). It'll be about 46 bucks all together (for a midsize), and grants us the freedom to stop and get some groceries or whatever on the way back from IoA. From what I understand, there's a shuttle that will take you to and from the car care center at your request.

That is true but allow time.Once I was in a hurry and the driver was nice enough to get me back but I felt bad had no money to tip him it was end of my trip.
