This is my first post (but have been lurking and gaining TONS on info-thank you all!) here so please bear with me if I manage to make some unknowing faux pas. I have booked our Disney trip at ASMu from Sept 22-28 and purchased 6 day park tickets. It is quite possible that before our trip, we may be relocating to Jacksonville, FL. In that case, we would like to buy APs. I have read here on the boards that there is no problem with transferring the value of the park tickets to the purchase of the AP at the parks.
I booked our vacation with a travel agency that specializes in Disney vacations, mostly for a little help with ADRs. I asked her if, in fact, we could apply the value of the park tickets to APs. Her reply was, "My "advisor" told me that because it is part of a Walt Disney Travel Company package, they would not convert your tickets. I will double check with Disney, but she has been doing this for many years and tends to be right about most things pertaining to Disney." Her next e-mail said the following: "I did ask the agent to go back to your reservation and address the question. She said that my co worker was correct and that you would not be able to transfer the value into an annual pass, but that you could go back and change the number of days on your ticket to just one."
Is this the case because I booked with a travel agent and not with Disney directly? Anyone have any insight on this or who to call within Disney to verify?
Thanks for helping a newbie!
