We are planning a trip 100 days out so a few reservations are hard to get. I have a couple of questions for anyone that got a hard to get ADR after the fact:

1. how often did you try to get the ADR? I'm doing it about 3 times a day (!) which is a little frustrating as the site is a bit slow. Also, I'm using my true party size (5), also rounding up (6) and then looking at 2 times ranges for each day so that's a total of 4 searchs for each of 8 days we are there. Since the ADR needs a CC hold, I'm really hopeful someone will eventually cancel.

2. did you try to get reservations on-line or did you always call in? I have been doing exclusively on-line but I figured if I called in they'd be looking at the same information

3. were you able to find something in advance of your trip or did you have luck once you got there?

4. Did anyone have luck with the cancellations thread? The thread for my month is a bit slow and we are still a ways out but I have become a compulsive checker of that thread!

5. Any other insight?

Thanks everyone!

If it helps I was able to get BOG after trying for 4 or 5 days, 3 times a day. Don't give up!

I was only about 80 days out when I started planning our trip. I have been able to get everything other than BOG, but, not really stalking the ressie. Got everything else after randomly checking for times including ohana, CP, PT, etc... So I would keep trying and you will probably get what you are after:) Good luck!
