Hi all,

I am training for the princess half with my daughter who will be 14 at the time of the race. How do we go about picking up her packet? The info says a picture ID is required, she does not have one except a school ID. Since I am her parent, does mine suffice? We've run many races together and this has never been a problem, but none have ever required picture ID either. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Does her school ID have her picture on it? Then if the only requirement is "picture ID" it should work. The only way it wouldn't is if it says "Government Issued Photo ID" - in which case just go to your DMV and get a photo ID card. It probably wouldn't hurt for her to have one anyway.

I bet the school ID will work but I would give them a call to be sure. If she needs a government issue ID and your budget allows it you might consider getting her a passport. Chances are she will need one sooner or later anyway and they are good for several years.

We got a passport for our son when he was 7. He's used it for multiple purposes. It's nice for them to have ID.
