Question regarding upcoming visit

April will be our first time back since 2012. With all the changes, I haven't really kept up with them all. Some I have figured out, but one thing I read and wanted to confirm is you have to scan your ticket or magic band at the rides now? Is that true? This might be a difficult thing to manage as we will have 6 kids and trying to keep up with all the cards since we do not have magic bands.

You scan your MB at the ride only when 1) you are redeeming a FP or 2) You are there during PM EMH.

You will scan the tickets (since you don't have Magic Bands) when you enter the park and then for each attraction where you have FastPasses.

Whatever you have on your My Disney Experience could be on your ticket if you have linked everything correctly. But no, you don't have to scan your ticket at every single attraction. Only the ones where you have FastPasses.

Not sure if you know, but you can purchase MagicBands at the Disney Store for $13 each.
