Question regarding transportation at Paradise Pier

We are looking at visiting DL in 2016 and doing the coast to coast 1/2 marathon. This will be our first trip and we are looking at staying at Paradise Pier. The main question I have is, How do you get to the park? Is it only walking, or is there a tram from the hotel to the park entrance? It looks like a pretty short walk, but would like to figure things out. Thanks for any answers.

We stayed there last week. No shuttle. Quickest way to get to the parks is to walk across the street and cut through the Grand Californian either to DTD or straight into DCA.

We walked it, hotel to the gates in about 10 minutes with a stroller and pokey 5yo.

It's a nice walk either through DTD or the GCH. If you choose the DTD path, there's always the monorail too.

We really loved walking through the Grand Cali on our last trip. It has that Disney smell to it - not sure what that is, but it reminded me of our many trips to the WDW resort. The walk really isn't that bad. Also, we've been lucky enough to catch a golf cart to Downtown Disney. They asked us, we didn't ask them.

Totally walkable....we like the route through the Grand Californian too.

We walked through the GCH and then through DTD. Quick, easy walk. We really liked it for the days we did CA since they have their own gate you can use instead of walking to the front gates.

I haven't visit Paradise yet but I can't wait Hawaii is beautiful!
