Question Regarding Train Travel in UK

We are attempting to book a train for my daughter from Brighton to Leeds. We are on nationalrail.co.uk. It shows the train arriving London Bridge at 10:54 on Platform 12, but does not show where it arrives at London Kings Cross at 11:50. It shows departure from London Kings Cross at 11:59 from Platform 4 with arrival at Leeds at 14:25 on Platform 8.

Our problem is we don't know how long it takes to move from one platform to another. We are not even sure she has to change trains at London Bridge and London Kings Cross. We are concerned that she won't have time to make the change of platforms for each train since she is unfamiliar with the stations.

I'd appreciate it if someone familiar with the UK train system could shed some light on this. Are we worrying about nothing or should we book separate trains from Brighton to London and then again from London to Leeds?

Okay. It looks like we figured it out. It appears she will have to take the underground (tube) from one station to another. Not exactly what I was hoping for. It doesn't appear that there is anything that will get her directly from Brighton to Leeds without switching stations. I'll be a nervous wreck before she finally gets there!

There are many trains from Brighton that go through London Bridge and continue to St Pancras International which is a very short walk away from Kings Cross and well signposted.
So, for example, the 10:34 from Brighton on Monday 15th August gets into St Pancras at 11:47 without any changes.
If you look on Google Earth at Kings Cross Station you can see St Pancras just to the left (west). This station has been rebuilt as the terminus for the Eurostar trains coming from Paris and Brussels.
The Brighton trains pass through at the lowest level so you leave the train and take the escalator up to the ground floor and follow the signs across the road to Kings Cross, about two hundred yards. Once inside, turn right along the platform to reach the concourse where the train indicator boards are displayed.
We are in Fla at the moment so PM me if you would like any additional info.
