Question regarding SW online checkin

Anyone have experience checkin on SW online 24 hours prior to flight. Do you need to check in each person in your party individually? Or is the whole group checked in and assigned a boarding group when one member enters the confimation # and their name? ( We all have the same confirmation # but there is a different ticket # listed next to each name on confirmation) SW newbies with fear of us all getting in different boarding groups.

If you are all traveling under the same reservation number (record locater), you'll all be checked in together and everyone on the res will receive their boarding number.

Yes, even in this age of e-tickets instead of paper tickets, every passenger always has their own ticket number.

To be a bit more specific, you only need to enter the confirmation number and one passenger name to call up the reservation so that you can check in. That will bring up a list of all passengers and you will need to check the box next to each name, then hit the check in button. All of the passengers on the reservation will then be checked in at the same time. Usually this results in consecutive boarding pass numbers but every once in a while you will get a gap in the numbers. No idea why this happens, but it's not a big deal at all so don't worry if it does.

Thats the important part. . only those with the check mark will be checked in. Trust me. . i found out the hard way.
