Question regarding reservation at Cafe Orleans

We're gonna be there on Dec 17th and was wondering how much in advance I should make dinner reservation there?

Cafe Orleans reservations aren't as competitive as Blue Bayou reservations, but since Dec. 17th will be a busy time at the park, you may as well call now and make the reservation to ensure you get the time you want. There is no penalty for making a reservation and changing your mind. You just call to cancel it when you know you can't make it.

Definitely make the reservation. The majority of the seating is outside. If it happens to be chilly and you want an inside table, having that reservation will be to your advantage. This is precisely what happened with us last Saturday when the rain was pouring.

You can't really request indoor-seatings but they told me to get there by 6.30pm and let them know.

Indoor seating requests can't be made at the time you book the reservation on the phone, but you can tell the restaurant when you check in for your reservation that you wish to wait for the next available indoor table. Sorry, I wasn't very specific on that.

You don't need reservations to get into any restaurants but might have to wait 30min+, especially if it's as popular like this one.

Thanks Elrasiel, I'm glad to hear that the food situation isn't as insane as Disneyworld! I hate that you have to make reservation so far in advance there! How am I supposed to know when I will be hungry and what I will want to eat 180 days in advance?!

fyi we've been turned away from CO because we did not have reservations. We've also waited as little as 15-20 minutes but I always suggest having reservations to eat at CO.

I did mine at 7pm. Figured that should give you sufficient times to see everything if you enter 8am and after dinner you can walk a bit by the lake and find a good spot for Fantasmic.
