Question regarding luggage...

Hello! I thought I would get anyone's expert opinion on this. We are going in 12 days to our first ever trip to WDW. I have Disney's Magical Express picking us up from the airport to bring us to our hotel (pop century).....
Do you think I should go to the baggage ourselves and pick up our own luggage and take it with us (is this even possible???) or should we just attach the yellow tags our travel agent sent us to our luggage and let the Magical Express person pick it up and deliver it for us??? Check in isn't until 3:00 and we will arrive at airport around 11:00 am. We have ADR for Chef Mickey's at 6:20 p.m., so I would hate not to have my luggage before our dinner to get freshened up and perhaps change. We are coming from Connecticut, so it will be cold here, and I am just trying to plan this so we are not wearing long pants, etc. OK OK, so am I going crazy or what??

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

I would say have Magical express get your luggage. It will really be easier in the long run. You probably won't need to be wearing shorts and long pants will be okay. If you feel really adamant about wearing shorts, pack a pair in your carryon, you can always get a locker at the parks.

I've used ME several times. Our luggage has always arrived within 3 hours. (Even the night our flight arrived at midnight! They told us they deliver until 2:30 AM; then deliver in the mornig.) I agree with the other poster - if you must change, bring it in the carry on. You could be on your way to the world before the luggage is even available!

Thank you for your replies!! I guess I have just heard some horror stories about lost luggage or luggage arriving hours and hours after check in....so, I just wanted to avoid it!!
