Hi, I am a first timer booking my own trip with Universal Orlando- I did everything online via Universal's website, and it really couldn't have been easier. Got the rooms (Hard Rock), tickets, and round trip shuttle from airport to resort all lined up, all paid up front.

However, in the month or so since I booked online (and trip coming up soon, I realize all I really have are confirmation emails, and no physical materials mailed to me whatsoever.

Is this normal? Do I just approach the hotel front desk (or the Universal shuttle service at the airport) with my name/confirmation number and that's it and they find everything on the computer, or whatever..? I assume they print up the passes, automatically provide express passes, etc. for the parks, etc. Just curious how this all goes down, from anyone who has maybe done this before. Am I missing anything? any suggestions, etc..

In the past, I have done Disney trips through a Travel Agent, so they always had some printed materials to hand out to take with so this is a little different from what I'm used to.

When I booked my last trip I had no physical materials mailed to me. I simply saved my emails. They looked me up at the hotel front desk, my room key was my express pass as well, then for the annual passes I went to the desk in the side of the hotel lobby. We picked up our APs there and they did ask to see my confirmation email and ID, but that may have just been the clerk.

We didn't use their shuttle so I'm uncertain how that works but I assume they'll probably have a desk in MCO.

We did not use the shuttle but the room key was our express pass and had to go to a different desk to get our 2 park 2 day tickets. I had the e-mail documents that had the confirmation number with me but both areas just asked for the booking name and phone number. We had a lanyard with a clear card holder and put the bar code for our room facing outside on one side and then the park tickets bar code facing outside on the other it is easier for them to scan.
