Question re: WL transportation

Hello --

On 2/14, we have 5:20 PS at WC and we would also like to go to MK for the parade and fireworks (2/14 is the only night on our trip for both). I've read a couple of negative posts about WL transportation to MK, so I wanted to get some feedback about what would be the quickest way to MK from WL:

(1) bus to TTC and then the monorail,
(2) ferry to Contemporary and then walk or
(3) the ferry to MK

Given that it's early evening, I'm not sure if any of the 3 above run less frequently.

I would take the bus to the TTC and then the monorail to the MK.
We ate at the WC and then were going to the MK for MVMCP and the line for the boat launch was really really long. We opted to take the boat to the CR as the line was very short and then walked over to the MK from there, but it really took a while to do this. I did however have 2 slowwwwww walkers with me. Some of our group took the boat to the CR and then went inside to take the monorail from there and the wait for the monorail was very long.
Now I realize this was for the MVMCP and alot of people were going to the MK, but I think that the bus to the TTC and then the monorail to the MK would have been the better way to go.

The quickest & easiest way is to just take the Green launch to MK. It runs abt every 15-20 minutes and the ride is around 15 minutes.

We had the most wonderful transportation during our WL stay. Even better than during our CR stays.

I too would take the boat from WL to MK. It is a very peaceful ride. Give yourself enough time and you will really enjoy the ride. The boat is one of the reasons I loved WL!

I am one that had absolutely no problem with the transportation at WL. The buses ran on schedule, the boats were always running, and we never had a long wait.

By the way, don't forget to get some ketchup for your fries when you eat at Whispering Canyon.

I agree we did not have a problem with the direct launch to MK, but timing is everything, so if you just missed one launch it may be faster go to Cont if it is there an then take monorail or walk over.

After 3:00 pm the boat from the WL to MK will go to from WL to FW and then MK. Before 3:00 pm the boat goes directly from WL to MK then FW.

It will all be timing. If the boat is at or near the dock the after 3:00 pm trip might take 20 to 25 minutes to MK. The bus to TTC and then the monorail to MK will take about the same time assuming the bus is at the bus stop or comes shortly after you get there. You are only talking about a very minutes in time difference and I think the boat ride is much more pleasant.

I have stayed at the WL 19 times and have found the transportation to be fine.
