Question re Whirlpool baths

Here is the link for Tommy Towery's HHI Web page, specifically the Jacuzzi 101 page:

http://www.members.tripod.com/~ttowery/jacuzzi_101.htm

Also, dvc_bwv , please allow me to make a suggestion: Can you please edit the title of this thread from 'Question' to 'Question re: Whirlpool baths'?

It would probably bring a lot more people into the thread who otherwise didn't open it, and would also make it easier for those of us who want to find it later to do so.

Thanks!

Jon

Thanks for the link! I made the suggested edit to the title, since you asked so nicely! :D

You don't EVER want to run the motor if the water is not over the jet areas, you could burn the engine up and start a fire. My 4 yr old niece was at my house one day and wondered what the button on our tub was and pushed it. Thank goodness, even from downstairs I heard this high whining sound and ran to find out what it was and was able to turn the motor off right away. It sounds like though that the ones in DVC properties wont even stay turned on (from a previous post) when there is not enough water. so they should not be forced to do so.

The bleach idea works fine for cleaning. We live in an area with bad water, and even the best house filters can't keep up with it sometimes. If my tub goes a long time without someone using the whirlpool, then we too get this yucky brown scum, it can be downright nasty, but it really is just old water and rust from the pipes (for the most part, lol).

Here is a silly question :), are the tubs big enough for two people, and of COURSE I am talking about bathing two kids at the same time, (wink, wink).
