Our concern with NOT renting a car and riding the bus system is SAFETY. Have you guys put your toddler on the bus system there?
And, what exactly is the "magical express." Is that only for certain hotels? We are staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. What kind of transportation do we have available there? Oh, we are staying at the one nearest to Disney, not the one by Sea World.

We took our DD to Disney when she was 2.5 yo. We just sat her on our lap on the buses. Sometimes she would sit beside me and look out the window. We didn't run into this, but if we would have to stand with her on the bus, we would have waited for the next one that came along.

From what I understand, Magical Express is a service that picks up and transports luggage from the airport to the hotel. After disembarking the plane, you can just go strait to the hotel without going to baggage claim. I believe you have to stay at a Disney hotel to take advantage of this service.

Hope this Helps!

I have always taken my kids on the bus or train here since they were born. I don't drive so that is my only mode of transportation. I have never had a problem with a bus here so I am not worried about putting my children on a bus there.

We were there in December with our 2 year old twins. I found the bus system to be as safe as any other public transportation. Most of the time they sat on a lap, occassionally one would sit to the inside of the seat, next to the window, and I would have my arm around them. We never had an issue of standing, the one time the bus was full there was a very nice gentleman that offered his seat to me - I believe mainly because I was holding both girls and they were sleeping at the time. I didn't have a third arm to hold on with! :)

We used Magic Express from the airport and on our return home, again, found it as safe as any other mode of public transportation. It's my understanding the ME is only for DISNEY hotels, but I could be incorrect. When we went, our bus stopped at Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, and Port Orleans.
