Question re: POFQ

Hi,
We are about to book our stay for next year and are looking at the room categories. We are thinking about staying River View.
The two room requests would be first floor and no adjoining/connecting door (safety reasons). Is that possible in River View?
I thought I'd ask the experts before asking Disney.

There are not many but it's possible.

According to the map at www.portorleans.or there are some 1st floor River view that not connecting. That said we have had connecting rooms on half our visits and have had no issues with the room next door. Same goes for stays at non-Disney hotels. We always keep our side locked.
