Like everyone else, I am hoping for free dining. My children are 10 and 13. I assume they will be considered adults for the plan but when it comes to ordering off the menus in restaurants, my kids can sometimes be fussy eaters (or at least my son) depending where we go eat, would he be able to still order off the children's menu if he prefers what is there? I have never used the dining plan before so I was wonder how it would work.

Thankspopcorn::

We went last year during Free Dining, our son was 10. He LOVED the dining plan and for the most part ordered off the adult menu, but sometimes all he wanted was mac n cheese, not a big problem they brought him a larger portion of it. Maybe book places that offer buffet's then your kids can pick anything they like.
Servers want you to be happy and will usually let your kids order one way or the other and it will be that was for the whole meal. You can't pick an adult appy, kids entree, adult desert, it's all one way or the other.

The only exception could be the CS eateries. There have been reports from guests that they've been unable to order child meals at the CS eateries with adult credits, despite that it would have worked out greatly in Disney's favor.

I am having the same dillema, my 12y/o is VERY picky. I was going to try to keep it all to the buffets or family style. So If he ordered the kids chicken tenders at wispering canyon then he cant order an adult desert? that stinks!
