Question re: Extra Magic Hours

We've never utilized this perk for WDW resort guests, so I've been wondering...on a night when a park is open late for guests staying on property, how are all the other guests asked to leave the park?

They aren't asked to leave. But since they don't can't get the wristbands that those staying at WDW hotels have, they just can't (or at least aren't supposed to) get on any rides.

As the night goes on, you usually see fewer and fewer guests without wristbands.

Since basically everything but the EMH attractions are closed, people who can't ride them have nothing to do.
