Question re: concierges and dining reservations

We will be staying at the GF concierges in November and the restaurants we would like to dine at are booked. Can concierges get us a reservation? Also, we will be staying at our DVC prior, can GF concierges make dining reservations for us prior to our GF arrival?
 
If there are cancellations closer to your date, they can help. But sometimes, there's absolutely nothing there!
For example, we stayed WL concierge this year. I wanted CRT and had to wait for them to find something. That took a few weeks. On the other hand, I asked them to book Chef Mickey's after we arrived, and nothing ever came available. I've heard that the concierge staff can work "miracles" and find you a table, but I don't think it always happens. Best to book some alternatives and maybe ask to be on a waiting list for the ones you really want!
 
Concierge can often help you out but you can always try too and if not just hope something opens up during your stay.

I did CRT last year but booked it 6 months in advance! I learned since the year prior I called everyday during our stay and nothing ever opened up. The only thing is when you book CRT that far ahead you have to pay for it in advance and the entire amount :mad: . I had asked what if something came up and plans changed, etc. and they said that as long as the ressie is cancelled within 48 hrs. then I would be refunded.
 
We are staying at the BWI concierge in December and then moving to the BWV and the CMs did make all of our ADRs for us, they insisted and I was grateful because it was a really busy time when our window opened. We have always had great success getting the ressies we wanted through the concierge staff, we have had CRT every trip, Candlelight Processional Packages (table of 8 at Le Cellier this trip) People have always made me nervous on the boards that the CMs would not be successful, but to date they have never let us down. We have never stayed at the GF, though, just the Poly and BWI.
As a side note, they had all our reservations made, with confirmation numbers, weeks before our dining window opened, not sure how they did it, but they did.
 

Duh, I just read that you will be travelling in November, so of course your window is open already, sorry. That's what I get for dising at work ;) November is a pretty slow time, you might have luck getting what you want.
 
I think it depends upon when in November you are going but I think it is still possible to get what some of what you want; maybe not the exact times etc. but hopefully close. We stayed WL Old Faithful Club last October over Veterans Day weekend (very busy!!!!) while we were there, we wanted to change two ADRs and the CL staff was able to adjust them. They used a little "sleight (sp.?) of hand" and it worked!

CMs and itinerary planner ( concierge staff ) are not the same.

We were staying at one of the suite at AKL with concierge service this past spring break and our itinerary planner got us all the ADRs booked, CRTand BBB for our DD. Our planner ( Susan ) also went and picked up a couple birthday hat for our DD and DS and left it on our bed. Your itinerary planner should able to get you most if not all of the ADR request. It might not be the exact time, but they can always get you in. Susan told us she can view more info from their screen than any regular CM. If you have the concierge service, an itineray planner should contact you to help planning your trip.
