Question re: Bistro de Paris

My DH, DD5 and I will be at WDW for New Year's Eve and DH thought that Bistro de Paris would be a nice restaurant for dinner that evening, with fireworks to follow. But in looking at the menu, I'm getting the distinct feeling that it is really a restaurant for adults (nothing wrong with that at all, please don't get me wrong). Can anyone who has eaten there recently let me know if that is the case? It's not a problem - we will happily eat at Spoodles or one of the other nice TS restaurants in or near EPCOT that are more child oriented.

It is certainly more adult oriented than all other restaurants in WS, but I have eaten there twice and have seen children there both times, so it can be done. Never eaten there with my own children, so don't know if they have a kid's menu or what is on it.

I wouldn't call Bistro de Paris "child oriented". Children are certainly allowed to eat there but I suspect the restaurant doesn't go out of it's way to entertain them. It's probably the most adult oriented restaurant in EPCOT, similar to California Grill or Jiko.

I'd say you know what's best for your child. Alot of 5 year olds would love going out to a fancy restaurant, others would prefer to go to a more casual place. My daughter at 5 would have loved it.

I was at Bistro last night. I saw two children there, one in a high chair and the other about five. Both were very well behaved (no yelling, etc.). One person did take the 5yo out to view IllumiNations, and brought her back in after it was over.

We were there for a little over two hours. You know your own daughter, is she well behaved and can stand to be in a restaurant for over two hours without disruption the meals of other guests? To my knowledge they do not have a separate children's menu, but possibly they make the Chef's menu available.

We love Le Bistro. It is very small, intimate restaurant, very romantic.

Yes, rarely you will see children there. If your child can sit still, and be quiet for 3 hours or so, then go ahead and go. This restaurant is very relaxed, lots of time between courses to digest and enjoy.

I personally won't go there with children, my grandaughters will have to wait until they are adults before I will take them in there.

Why not eat downstairs at Chefs de France with your daughter. That is quite good also and definately family oriented.

They normally have a special Chief in for new years eve...the plates are well over 100 dollars a head with no kids meal...(kind of like a V&A dinner)..
I wouldn’t take a 5year old to any meal over 100 dollars...just dont think they can eat enough
