Our family of six is planning a Disney trip in the fall of 2003. Yeah! We had a great time in 2000. This time my parents and my sister and her family would like to join us.

We are planning to book at All Star Movies. We know we need two rooms for our family and are planning to have my parents stay in our additional room with two of our kids. I do want to make sure we have connecting rooms just in case down the road my parent's back out. Here are my questions. Do I need to let Disney know there will be two extra adults in with my kids? I would like to take advantage of the DC discount on our two rooms since we are members, but my parents are not.

We would also like to have my sister's family close to us. Is this more likely to happen if I book all the rooms?

Thanks for the help. The DIS made our last trip the best!!

Lately, when calling to make reservations the immediately start with how many in your party, number of adults and kids. You can have two adults in each room without incurring additional charges so there's no incentive NOT to tell Them. Chances are they will then want names, too.

You can reserve two rooms on you DC discount. Both rooms will be reserved in your name - no sweat.

I have ressies for ASMo for June of 2003 for 2 rooms. One is for us and the other for family, they put both in my name with the guests listed on each confirmation

Now if June would just hurry up and get here:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I booked 5 rooms for 18 of us in June. We all got the same building (Mighty Ducks), but the only ones that were connecting were my sister's because she had four kids in the room next to her. They told me that if there was no adult then they had to be connected. Two of the other rooms were on the same floor, but not the same corridor. I had requested a ground floor room for my mom and that's what they gave her. If you explain the situation with your parents, I'm sure they will arrange it.

I booked all of the rooms and had the reservation packets sent to me and distributed them to everyone, but the rooms were booked in each family's name. I don't know about the DC discount, I used a code and was able to apply it to all the rooms.

We had a blast! Keep in mind, though, that is very difficult to stay together all the time, since everyone wants to do different things. I made PS's for meals for the entire group for several of the days and we would meet up for those. But other than that, we were usually separated into different groups. The kids were all teenagers (except one 11 yo) and so my kids loved having their cousins and friends to hang out with instead of me all the time.

Sorry so long. I'm sure that was more info than you wanted. Anyway, you will have a special and wonderful time with your family.
