I am going to Disney for 4 days in September and saw the 4-day Park Hopper Plus ticket offered on the wdwinfo web site. However, I don't see this offered for sale on Walt Disney's own reservation site (unless I am missing something).

Does anyone know why I can't get this pass directly through Disney?

Just some background, we are staying at the Coronado Springs and DH and I are landing around 10pm. If we buy the Ultimate Park Hopper Pass, Disney is going to charge us 5 days (from the day you check in to the day you leave). I argued with the reservation person since we are arriving after everything closes but they said that was their policy.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
Sharon

First Welcome to the Boards (I see this is post #1) :)

Second I apologize to you for the CM that did not explain the UPH tickets to you properly..."They" can not remove days off the tickets because they are sold as a package, but if you purchase a room only package through them, you are actually able to remove the first or last day from the UPH tickets when you purchase them from the front desk, because of the scenerio that you have.

Anwyay, Disney does not offer a 4 day park hopper "plus" that is why you can not find it on their site (perhaps it is something special that The Dis has). Disney offers a 4 day ticket (theme parks only) a 5 day ticket (theme parks only) and then they offer 5 day tickets with 2 pluses, 6 day tickets with 3 pluses and 7 day tickets w/ 4 pluses.

If you want the UPH tickets you can purchase them at the hotel when you check in. They can be added to your room key by the front desk Cast Member. As I stated you can have the first day removed (since you are not using it).

I hope that helps :) Have fun!

If you purchase the Ultimate Park Hopper pass in advance, it is 'linked' to your reservation and thus you will pay for the number of nites you are staying, as the agent told you. If you purchase the UPH pass when you check-in, you SHOULD be able to delete the first or last day (or both!). This has been our experience in the past, though of course things are always subject to change.

The 4-day park hopper plus pass might be a better option for you. You can buy it from many reputable ticket vendors, even though Disney itself doesn't actively promote them. We used the 4-day PH+ tickets for our June trip with no problems. The good thing about them (unike the UMP passes) is that unused days never expire. This worked great for us because poor weather prevented us from visiting a waterpark this year so next year we can used the unexpired "plus" option to visit a waterpark.

Disney has many specialty tickets that they do not sell directly to the general public and the 4 day PHP is one of them. Some are only available through conventions, some only through sports events, some only through the independent ticket wholesalers, and some through a combination of the above.
