Question re 192 holiday traffic and shortcuts

For those who have stayed offsite in the (south)west 192 area during a busy holiday period, what is the best way to get to the parks? We'll be in the Lindfields area (Grand Palms), so generally the quickest would be to use 192. But when we stayed at Orange Lake a few years ago, the traffic on 192 was horrible on the morning we were leaving town, 12/27. Is it quicker to drive south to Funie Steed and take that over to Entry Point Blvd. (Sherbeth Rd)? Thanks for any input.

try it both ways - also you might consider trying the new 429 - not sure how much the toll would be?

go to US 192 - then turn left at Black Lake rd - then left again at Sherberth Road.

429 toll - will end up between CSR and All stars. I don't think it is shorter (Western way is pretty long) - but it might be quicker - not alot of people are using it.

I've done that (I used to live next to Lindfield's) but just remember that Funie Steed will turn into a dirt road for a little bit. It's not too awful, just really bumpy

Thank you both for the info. I keep forgetting about the 429 toll road! Since it's so new it isn't showing up on the maps yet...
