Not sure if there is a better way, so why not ask the experts :thumbsup2

Planning on going to Disney X-Mas 2009, checking in Dec. 26 for 7 nights (I know not technically christmas, but you know what I mean).

When can I call to make the reservation. In the past I would call every day starting on the 26th of January 2008. With the new rules, can I call just once and when?

If someone calls on Dec. 22 for 7 nights, could I lose out on my first few nights?

Oh, hoping to make reservations at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, 2 bedroom.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks :santa:

You can make ressies at your home resort 11 months from check in day, so if VWL is your home resort you may call Jan 26 for Dec 26 check in.

I believe under the new rules, you can call 11 months from your desired check in date and can reserve 5 nights. You will then have to call again 5 days later to reserve your last 2 nights. In your case, the first call will be Jan 26th.

Thanks for the quick responses, that is what I thought. Just worried that it will be sold out on the 26th + because of the new rules. I really liked the old way, the 26th can't be reserved until exactly 11 months.

A while back I remember someone talking about 'walking' a reservation. Didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Doesn't seem like the right thing to do. But, if everyone is doing it and I miss out on my reservations we will be frustrated. :headache:

Thanks.

Under the new rules you may book up to 7 consecutive nights.

New booking rules are 11/7 months from Check-in date. You can book up to 7 nights on one call.

That has been everyones fear with the new system, I have not seen any threads as to obvious walking, however I'm sure there are some.

If VWL is your home resort you should have no trouble booking at 11 month window but I'd call first thing in the morning on Jan. 26 for sure. If VWL is not your home resort you can book your home resort using your 11 month advantage and then on May 26 (7 month non-home resort window) try to get VWL but at least you'd have your home resort reservation if all else fails.

And....well there is a thing called 'walking' a reservation :scared1: ...... I'm not supporting it or condemning it.....it has been done by some & others have not done it and have gotten their reservations just fine and from what I understand MS, if they want, can opt to decline the reservation or portion of it if they want to "call-out" a member attempting to do their reservation this way.

Best wishes :goodvibes

Thanks again everyone. Yes, VWL is our home resort. I will be calling on January 26th early.

Happy Holidays (next year we'll be in Disney) :cool1:
