Question on using points

We will receive our points on March 1st, can I book something now for April or do I need to wait until the 1st of March when the points are in our account?

You can book it now. The points are already in the UY you want to book.

If you look at your account on the member website, it should show points through use year 2012. You never have to wait for points to "deposit" for future use years. You could make a reservation now for November 1, 2010 at your home resort and even borrow 2011 points for it.

If it was your home resort, you could have booked it in May 2009.

here's a good primer on Understanding Use Year. as already stated, use year has nothing at all to do with when you can call to book.
