Question on Transferring Points

I have a question on transferring points. My DH and I currently own a 55 point SSR contract. Because we have such a small contract, we usually end up purchasing a point transfer from a Disser every year. I'm aware of the one transfer per year rule, however, if we purchased an add on contract, say 25 points at SSR, would be be permited a second point transfer into that contract?

The way that I understand it, you would not be able to do that.

I'm pretty usre it's one transfer per year per contract, so I think you could. There may be prblems if they are linked, but not sure on that.

But if it is an add-on contract, isn't it considered an extension of the master contract?

I thought that when you add on through Disney, they always give you the same UY so that the points (if same home resort) can be combined for reservations at the 11 month mark and not be considered a transfer.

Would it be considered a different contract if there is a different UY? If that is the case, then doesn't a current member have to add on the minimum of 160 if they want to go through Disney (of course, resale is different).

I thought that if a member has two separate contracts, it is even considered a transfer when they combine their own points. NO? Now I am confused....

An add-on is the same master contract. You would have to purchase a second UY to get a separate master contract. Or a resale with a different UY.

So, for the OP's question, they would only be able to transfer from both of their contracts in one UY, is if the 2nd add-on they want to get (for 25 SSR points) is a different UY than the first SSR contract they have.

I think everyone is confusing contract with membership. It is one transfer per Membership. Add-ons with the same use year are under the same membership, so the one transfer rule applies.

Agree with Chuck, we have one master contract and two add-ons, we get one transfer in or out a year for the whole thing. Hope that makes sense.
