question on temp at night

We will be cruising the first week of May. What is the temp at night. I'm just wondering if we will need light jackets or maybe sweetshirts for the kids.

Outside temperature will probably be very nice. I know we were comfortable in the pools on our May cruise. But the dining rooms and theaters can be very chilly (probably in the high 60s which is SHIVERING for me!), so I'd suggest having at least one general purpose jacket/sweater. I used to grab extra towels on my way to the theater, and wrap one around my shoulders and one around my legs to stay warm!

I would bring something. If you are leaving from NJ in May and have an early (like first one out) flight they might need a light jacket/sweatshirt for the ride to the airport or in the plane at first anyway so you can just have them wear it and not worry about it taking room in the luggage.
