We have been planning a trip in December, and finally booked our rooms. We got a great deal for 5 nights, $131 for a standard, and $199 for a CL room. There are 5 of us going, wife and 3 kids, one of which is 18(adult..lol). Last time we went we all squeezed into a room, but the kids were younger(and smaller), so we got 2 rooms to stretch and relax more. I booked for 5 in the club, and 2 in the standard(even though only 5 are going). Did this to take advantage of the club privileges.

My question is will I face any problems at check-in getting all the room keys for both rooms? Told them I was booking the other room for a couple of other family members. Will all (7) people need to be there at check-in, when there is really only 5 of us? Thanks for any help or guidance.

everyone doesn't need to be there for check in...my kids usually go look at the pool area while we do the check in.

My kids are never there for check in either. There is an extra $25 charge for each adult more than 2 that is 18 and over. Just to let you know, Universal does not check ID for ages.

Thanks for the quick responses. So for the room with the 2 (fictitous) people, just use some other names, or can i double up the kids for both rooms?

for the double room, list one adult (over 21) and one of the kids.

you need to have someone 21 or over to book a room so list someone over 21.

put yourself down for two of the rooms and list 2 more if you want.
or list one more.
you could list yourself with your middle and last name for the second room.

When we went years ago, they made us all line up at the registration desk, I guess they no longer do that! They made us call the whole family up to the desk. I thought they always did that to make sure there were no extra FOTL room keys floating about. Glad to hear they made the process easier.

We also often had 2 rooms, we just assigned the 4 of us to one room, 2 to the other room, and figured it out later. We love the club room, but used it mostly for breakfast.
