Question on reallocating points

I am hoping for some "expert" advice...

I have an 80 point BWV contract. I banked my 2007 points and borrowed my 2009 points in order to book 3 BWV standard view rooms in 2008 for myself and family members. I did this at around 11 months.

I have a family member with some serious health issues. If they are not able to go, I want to be able to bank the 2008 80 points. Today I called to check on the names on the reservations, and it sounds like all of the 3 rooms are using a combination of current, banked and borrowed BWV points. Therefore, if I cancel one room, I won't be able to bank most of the points. I asked to reallocate the points so that each room is using one year's worth of points. I was told that this is impossible because there are not rooms available anymore and their computers are not set up for them to be able to reallocate. This is irritating because when I made the reservation in the first place, I asked her if it was set up with the points the way I wanted, and she confirmed that it was...

Do I just keep my fingers crossed and hope everyone can go, or do I try harder to get this done---and should I be able to do this? If not, I'm okay with it, but I guess I'm thinking they are all BWV points so what's the harm? Also, I don't want my reservations to get "accidentally" deleted in the process...

boy that sounds strange.

call MS again - if MS gives you we can't do again - then ask to speak to a manager.

most of the time they would use banks points first, then current year, and finally borrowed points.

so the current year should be in one studio - of course you could have gotten a MS who did all studios on all days at one time. but that is silly - okay my opinion.

Just wanted to let you know for anyone's future reference that I did call Member Services and spoke with a manager. She looked at my reservations and explained that if we did have to cancel one of the rooms, at that point they could look at the point situation and reallocate at that time. Since they are all BWV points, it would not be a problem and there wouldn't need to be any rooms of that type available in order to reallocate. I feel better about this now...
