hubby and i are staying here in a few weeks and i am wondering is the walk to the bus stops far?? looked at a map at looks as though there are 4 bus stops....is it a close walk to any bus stop from where you are staying??? should we request a certain place to be to be close to a stop or should be we ok?? thanks for any help..

in 2 weeks! When we were there before, we stayed in Bldg. 24 at the end closest to the West Depot. It was about a 1 1/2 - 2 minute walk to the depot from there but it was quite a hike to the main building (food court, Boatwright's, etc.). This is a large resort! We are hoping to stay in the Mansions this time (only because we were in the Bayou last trip) and my DW requested Magnolia Terrace. That is supposed to be pretty convenient for both the East Depot and the main building. In the Bayou, most people recommend Bldg. 14 for convenience.
Whatever you do, DON'T MISS Bob "The Piano Man" Jackson perform in the lounge at POR. I believe he's there Wed-Sun evenings from 8:30 PM - Midnight. He's hilarious! And, don't forget to take the boat to DTD. This is especially nice at night.
When were were at POR in '99 (Dixie Landing, then), we enjoyed walking around the paths in the Bayou just before sun up and listening to the sounds of the bullfrogs, roosters, crickets and other critters. It was great!
Enjoy your trip! :cool1:
