Question on points for 12/31/08

We are planning on taking our kids to WDW 12/31-1/06/09. I am wondering how they do the points for the night of the 31st? It falls on a Thursday this year. Will that day be weekday point or weekend point value?

This is something I would like to know in case I buy in this year or end up renting from someone. TIA

Thursday points will be weekday points and will be in the Premier season, but Jan. 1 will be the lower points of the Adventure season.

NYE reservations are going quickly. If you plan to rent a reservation you need to do it very quickly. Likewise, if you plan on purchasing DVC, if you purchase resale, you may be too late to get those days. And if you don't purchase directly from Disney very soon, again, you might be out of luck.

When you look at the point requirements, you don't go by season like Disney. Each day counts on its own. And Dec 31 is usually pretty high points. Could be as few at 14 points a night to 120 points a night depending on where you stay and what size villa.
