My brother has two 4-day park hopper tix which he never has and never will use. They were purchased around ten years ago. I offered to buy them off him as he has no use for them and the face value is only $160.
So here's the question. The tickets specify that they are NOT good for AK. Only MK, Epcot, and MGM. Can the ticket be "upgraded" to include AK or do I have to purchase a separate ticket for AK ? Would I then be able to "hop"? etc.etc. What would you experts do? Thanks for any help.

I think you can upgrade them, but you will be charged the current rate. It might make more financial sense to just by a day ticket for AK.

Ask Guest Services - those tickets may actually be good at all 4 parks even though the tickets say otherwise. The following is from AllEarsNet:

I have some old passes with leftover days that say they are only valid for entry to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Are those still good?

Yes. Have them converted to the magnetic strip ticket and you can still use them. Oh by the way, once you do the conversion your days can be used at any of the four major parks now.

Here is the link (with other ticket info) that is the source of the above quote:
