Question on night splints for Plantar Fasciitis.

I found that the way that I sleep, my foot tends to be stretched, not flexed. Most times, it's not a problem. After I had a hysterectomy, I had a flare-up. Well, I'd been sleeping more, and sitting in a chair with my feet up. Which causes them to stretch out more, cause they naturally fall into a pointy position. (Funny thing, the pain was in a different place, more towards the arch, but the ortho said PF.) So, I think the night brace will help you a lot! Good thoughts.

I do get little flare-ups every now and then. Especially if I wear some shoes that have a little bit of heel and no arch support.

As for your question about being barefoot, I haven't really heard that. Generally, I keep something cushiony under my feet (we live on a slab). But not to get up to go to the bathroom during the night.
