Question on how to request points.

New to DIS boards and have a question about using the Rent/Trade forum. Can I post a request for what I'm looking for (number of points or dates and resort) or do I have to wait until a DVC owner posts that they have points available?

The Rent/TRade board no longer allows Reservation Wanted or Point Transfer Wanted threads. You must reply into an existing "Points for Rent" type thread. One reason for this rule is, though rare, people that posted Reservation Wanted threads were being contacted via PM, even by some people that do not own DVC, and were being scammed.

Be sure that you, as the renter, initiate the contact with whomever you decide to do business with.

Finally someone providing an explanation that makes sense! I always wondered why we could not actually post a transfer wanted thread.
